How a material earns its place.
Nothing enters the catalogue on a supplier’s word alone. Every material passes the same five gates before it is offered — and every lot passes the last two again before it ships.
Qualified producers only. Origin, botanical identity and production date recorded for every lot.
A written specification: identity, physical constants, odour standard, allergen and IFRA data.
An approved reference sample is kept — the standard every future lot is judged against.
Each incoming lot is checked against its specification and smelt on strip against the retained standard.
COA, SDS, IFRA conformity certificate and allergen declaration travel with the lot.
04Evidence, not adjectives
Read the monograph before you buy the material.
Every natural and aroma chemical has a public monograph: botanical or chemical identity, producer, how it is made, odour profile, regulatory notes and the documents that ship with it.

07The Perfumer’s Library
What the trade rarely writes down.
08Why we exist
To be the benchmark the fragrance trade measures itself against: a future where every perfume, attar, soap and agarbatti made in India begins with a material that is named, proven and consistent.
If a number is on the page, it came from a document you can ask for. We never publish invented statistics.
Every material carries a botanical name or CAS number and a named producer. “Premium quality” is not an identity.
The tenth delivery must match the first. Retained reference samples and lot checks exist for exactly that.
“Inspired by”, never a counterfeit. “IFRA-conformant”, never “IFRA-certified”. When we do not know, we say so.
We write down what the trade rarely does, because better-informed buyers make better products.
A 30 g sample for an independent perfumer gets the same specification as a drum for a production line.
