What an inspired oil is
Benchmark inspired oils are independent fragrance oils that interpret the scent character of well-known perfumes. They are not the original products and are not made, sold or endorsed by the brand owners. Brand and product names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify the olfactive reference.
How we name them
- Every inspired oil is sold under a Benchmark code and described by its scent family and notes.
- A reference fragrance is named only once, on that oil’s own page, in an “Inspired by” line — never in product names, web addresses, page titles, headings or advertising.
- We do not use brand logos, bottle images, packaging or trade dress.
- We do not describe our oils as copies, clones, replicas, dupes or identical to any product.
- Notes shown are those published for the reference fragrance; our oils are independent interpretations.
What we ask of buyers
If you use this oil in your own product, name and present it in your own words. Do not use the reference’s brand or product names, logos, bottle shape or packaging design. Products made with our oils must be sold under the buyer’s own name.
Rights holders
If you own a trademark named on this site and have a concern, write to info@benchmarkformulations.com with the page address. We review every notice promptly and remove or amend a reference where appropriate.
