Benchmark Formulations supplies the materials perfumers build with — naturals, aroma chemicals and fragrance oils — to fragrance houses, attar makers, brands and independent perfumers across India.
Our vision
To be the benchmark the fragrance trade measures itself against: a future where every perfume, attar, soap and agarbatti made in India begins with a material that is named, proven and consistent.
Our mission
We supply the materials perfumery is built on (naturals, aroma chemicals and fragrance oils), each with the evidence to trust it: a named identity, a written specification and documents for every lot. We let every customer test before they commit, and give honest guidance from the first 30 g sample to the hundredth drum.
The Benchmark Standard
If a number is on the page, it came from a document you can ask for. We never publish invented statistics.
Every material carries a botanical name or CAS number and a named producer. “Premium quality” is not an identity.
The tenth delivery must match the first. Retained reference samples and lot checks exist for exactly that.
“Inspired by”, never a counterfeit. “IFRA-conformant”, never “IFRA-certified”. When we do not know, we say so.
We write down what the trade rarely does, because better-informed buyers make better products.
A 30 g sample for an independent perfumer gets the same specification as a drum for a production line.
Where we are heading
Goals we hold ourselves to — targets, not claims:
- A public monograph for every material we list
- Every lot traceable to its COA and retained reference sample
- Every inspired oil described by its notes, with no brand name in its title
What we do
We source perfumery materials from qualified producers in India and abroad — including specialist naturals houses and the major aroma-chemical producers — and supply them on a written specification, with the documents a regulated product needs.
The catalogue runs from French lavender and Indian jasmine absolutes to single aroma molecules and ready fragrance oils for soap, candles and agarbatti. Every material can be sampled from 30 g.
What we commit to
- A Certificate of Analysis with every batch.
- A written specification before we supply.
- Samples from 30 g, with the cost credited on your first order.
- A reply within one working day.
These are commitments, not statistics. We were incorporated in 2026, and we will publish performance figures when we have a record worth publishing.
