01The portfolio

Ten families. One standard.

From the flower in the field to the molecule on the spec sheet — organised the way perfumers think about materials: by how they are made.

Naturals

N·01Essential OilsVolatile oils recovered from plants by distillation — or, for citrus, by cold expression of the peel.Vetiver · Patchouli · Lavender · Sandalwood · Cardamom93 → N·02Absolutes & ConcretesSolvent extraction gives the waxy concrete; washing it in alcohol gives the absolute — the closest a flower gets to the bottle.Jasmine sambac · Tuberose · Orris · Mimosa · Oakmoss55 → N·03Resinoids & BalsamsResins, gums and balsams extracted into workable, tenacious materials — the fixatives of the base.Labdanum · Benzoin · Olibanum · Opoponax · Styrax14 → N·04Extracts, Butters & IsolatesSpecialities from natural raw materials: orris butters, oleoresins, water concentrates, fractions and natural isolates.Orris butter · Saffron oleoresin · Ambergris · Natural eugenol37 →

03Source to shipment

How a material earns its place.

Nothing enters the catalogue on a supplier’s word alone. Every material passes the same five gates before it is offered — and every lot passes the last two again before it ships.

01Source

Qualified producers only. Origin, botanical identity and production date recorded for every lot.

02Specify

A written specification: identity, physical constants, odour standard, allergen and IFRA data.

03Retain

An approved reference sample is kept — the standard every future lot is judged against.

04Compare

Each incoming lot is checked against its specification and smelt on strip against the retained standard.

05Release

COA, SDS, IFRA conformity certificate and allergen declaration travel with the lot.

04Evidence, not adjectives

Read the monograph before you buy the material.

Every natural and aroma chemical has a public monograph: botanical or chemical identity, producer, how it is made, odour profile, regulatory notes and the documents that ship with it.

07The Perfumer’s Library

What the trade rarely writes down.

08Why we exist

To be the benchmark the fragrance trade measures itself against: a future where every perfume, attar, soap and agarbatti made in India begins with a material that is named, proven and consistent.

01Evidence, not adjectives

If a number is on the page, it came from a document you can ask for. We never publish invented statistics.

02Named, never vague

Every material carries a botanical name or CAS number and a named producer. “Premium quality” is not an identity.

03Consistency is the product

The tenth delivery must match the first. Retained reference samples and lot checks exist for exactly that.

04Honest by design

“Inspired by”, never a counterfeit. “IFRA-conformant”, never “IFRA-certified”. When we do not know, we say so.

05Knowledge is shared

We write down what the trade rarely does, because better-informed buyers make better products.

06The smallest customer counts

A 30 g sample for an independent perfumer gets the same specification as a drum for a production line.
